WELCOME!
We are Edinburgh Thistle Golf Club.
Since 1870 as a Instituted golf club, and before as far as records show*, the Edinburgh Thistle Golf club has existed for golfers firstly, at Bruntsfield links then from 1890 at the Braidhills. Our present clubrooms were established in 1947 above the starter's box of the Braids No. 1 golf course.
Three other clubs share common access to the public links and have their own rooms. These are Braids United and Edinburgh Western who share a building in the carpark area and the Harrison golf club who have premises on the road up to the course.
Comiston ladies golf club also play competitions over the course.
Our club is licenced, has a mixed membership and our members play golf under the registration of the Lothians Golf Association and Scottish golf Union.
